INTEGRATING DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN ARABIC LANGUAGE LEARNING: A LITERATURE REVIEW ON INNOVATION, EFFECTIVENESS, AND PEDAGOGICAL IMPLICATIONS

The rapid growth of digital technology has transformed language education, offering new opportunities and challenges in the teaching and learning of Arabic. Traditional methods are increasingly being complemented by digital platforms, interactive tools, and online resources that support linguistic and cultural competence. This study is a literature review that synthesizes recent research on the integration of digital technology in Arabic language learning. Articles from the last ten years were collected from academic databases, focusing on the use of mobile applications, learning management systems, gamification, and artificial intelligence-based tools in Arabic pedagogy. The review shows that digital technology significantly enhances learner motivation, vocabulary acquisition, and communication skills. However, challenges remain in ensuring technological accessibility, teacher readiness, and effective pedagogical design. Studies also highlight that successful implementation depends on aligning technology use with linguistic objectives and cultural contexts. Integrating digital technology in Arabic language learning brings substantial pedagogical benefits when supported by proper training, infrastructure, and curriculum alignment. Future research should explore the long-term impact of technology-mediated Arabic instruction and develop more inclusive digital learning environments.
