The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has significant implications for education, including in the context of Arabic language learning. This study aims to analyze the transformation of AI-based Arabic language learning to improve students' communicative competence in the Society 5.0 era. Using a systematic literature review approach, this article examines various AI platforms and technologies that have been implemented in Arabic language learning, including Natural Language Processing (NLP), AI-based chatbots, Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), and adaptive learning recommendation systems. The study's findings indicate that integrating AI into Arabic language learning can significantly increase student engagement, provide personalized and instant feedback, and provide an adaptive learning environment tailored to individual needs. However, several challenges that cannot be ignored are also identified, such as limited digital infrastructure, technological competency gaps among educators, and the issue of the accuracy of AI systems in understanding the richly nuanced Arabic linguistic context. This research recommends the need for a planned and strategic integration of AI technology with a humanistic pedagogical approach to achieve Arabic language learning that is not only technically effective but also culturally and spiritually meaningful. These findings are expected to form the basis for developing a more innovative and adaptive curriculum, education policy, and Arabic language learning practices in Indonesia.
