Abstract

settlements in Indonesia with very slum and dense settlement conditions can cause flooding, and fires can also spread. Especially in the areas of Surabaya and Jakarta, this can also be dangerous for slum and dense settlement areas, therefore this paper wants to discuss the critical analysis of settlements in Indonesia: active land utilization for settlements and housing and the impact on food self-sufficiency in Umbulsari District, there are two important things that need to be discussed in this paper, first how is the use of active land for settlements and housing? second active land utilization for settlements and housing and the impact on food self-sufficiency in Umbulsari District? by using qualitative research methods with a content analysis approach to read data related to active land utilization for settlements and housing and the second active land utilization for settlements and housing and the impact on food self-sufficiency in Umbulsari District. The results of this study, first the use of active land for settlements and housing and second the use of active land for settlements and housing and the impact on food self-sufficiency in Umbulsari sub-district.
