KEMISKINAN DALAM PERSPEKTIF EKONOMI ISLAM: STUDI KASUS PADA DAERAH KELURAHAN ANTIROGO JEMBER
Abstract
Poverty is one of the fundamental problems in economic development, both at the national and local levels. In Indonesia, although economic growth has continued to increase, social inequality and poverty remain serious issues, particularly in rural areas. One of the regions facing these challenges is Antirogo Subdistrict in Jember Regency, Jember. This area has a high unemployment rate, limited access to education for low-income communities, and a strong dependence on unstable subsistence agriculture.
The research method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive approach. Quantitative descriptive research is a method aimed at describing existing phenomena based on current facts and observable conditions as they are. This approach allows the researcher to systematically present data related to poverty conditions in Antirogo Subdistrict and analyze them statistically to obtain an objective overview of the situation.
Based on the review and analysis of the literature as well as field findings in Antirogo Subdistrict, it can be concluded that poverty from an Islamic perspective is a multidimensional condition that encompasses not only material aspects but also spiritual, social, and psychological dimensions. Islam views poverty as a structural problem that must be addressed through a holistic approach integrating the values of justice, solidarity, and balance. Therefore, poverty alleviation efforts should not rely solely on direct assistance but must also involve character development and comprehensive human capacity building.
